One more year I have participated at the congress 'Criadores Sobre outras Obras' (CSO) (i.e. Creators about other artworks), celebrated at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon (Portugal), presenting the artwork of Marcos Covelo and his passion about rediscovering Painting in the expanded field.
An exhibition fitted into the Apprentice/Master Project of the Kunstpodium T lab of creation of Tilburg (The Netherlands), where 5 artists from different points of Europe have met: Barbora Fastrova (Czech Republic), Iris de Vries (The Netherlands), Maeve Collins (Ireland), Marta Bran (Spain) and Zala Kobe (Slovenia).
Tonight, at 7.00 pm, the exhibition of the 'Ninth Edition of the Auditorium of Galicia Prize for young artists' was opened. My installation Paisaje rururbano (i.e. Rururban landscape), created specifically for this date, is among the selected artworks.
This week, coinciding with ARCO, I am participating in Drawing Room Madrid -represented by Trinta Gallery- with Elena Blasco and other artists like Jesús Zurita, Tamara Arroyo, Ruth Morán and Santiago Ydáñez.
My project Once upon a time... has been one of those selected, in the category of 'artistic intervention projects', in the last call for the Zona 'C' of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). Specifically, the installation presented will be released sometime in December of 2016 or January of 2017.
Last Friday 23rd of October, at 8.00 pm, we inaugurated A propósito do debuxo (i.e. Regarding to Drawing) at the Torrente Ballester Centre of Ferrol (Spain). Earlier, at 7.00 pm, there was a round table during which we analysed the leitmotif of the exhibition and discussed in detail our interventions which were unpublished in its majority.
Marta Bran se embarca por primera vez en la realización de una instalación de grandes dimensiones en Escenas campestres. Se trata de una site specific -ideado ex profeso para la exposición A propósito do debuxo- en la que combina el uso del dibujo, la pintura, el recorte, el audiovisual o la presencia de elementos escultóricos. El detallismo del dibujo se plasma a través de la aparición del bosque; un bosque inspirado en la imagen de un libro de artista sobre los orígenes del circo. En ese bosque profusamente dibujado, se inserta la aparición de un audiovisual de animación poblado por dos figuras femeninas que juegan al bádminton con trajes de época.
It is the latest project of the research group MODO (Ways of Artistic Knowledge) of the University of Vigo (Spain). The document entitled 'neste momento:' (i.e. in this time:) is a catalogue-book about the group exhibition under the same title which was opened in late 2014 at the RAC Foundation of Pontevedra (Spain).
This forum for the exchange of portfolios and master lectures, is complemented by the organization of 26 group exhibitions in leading museums or art galleries of the different regions of origin of the faculties within the project. My destination is going to be Lithuania!
This week several colleagues from the University of Vigo are participating in the eighth edition of the 'Apprentice / Master' project, created in 2007 by the Kunstpodium T of Tilburg (The Netherlands). This is a meeting of artists-researchers from 19 faculties of Fine Arts located in different parts of Europe and also one from China.
I am happy Picnic will be part of its collection!
Today, at 20.00 h we are going to open 'Coma na casa. Relatos creativos sobre o fogar expandido' (i.e. Feel at home. Creative stories about the expanded home.) at Pazo de Tor (Monforte de Lemos, Lugo - Spain). It is a project curated by Chus Martínez Domínguez and featuring a cast of friends/artists with all kind of proposals incorporated into this domestic space.
This afternoon, both Jesús de la Iglesia and me, have had the opportunity to present the 'Video Diary' project at CONFIA 2015 (International Conference On Illustration and Animation). This interesting event, which celebrates its third edition, is being developed during these days at the GNRation building of Braga (Portugal).
Next Monday, 30th of March I will present 'Corporeality: Art, technology and what is seemingly invisible' at the sixth congress 'Criadores Sobre outras Obras' (CSO) (i.e. Creators about other art works), which will take place at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon.
One of my art pieces, from the 'Conversations with a toast' collection, has been selected to participate in the first edition of Lacolect project by Hago Cosas (i.e. I make things). This ceramic of no more than 14 x 14 cm can be seen on the 12th, 13th and 14th of March in the garage of One Shot Hotels of Madrid. See you at the heart of Barrio de las Letras!

Activity inspired by the early days of cinema and, in particular, by the first optical toys that were decisive in its origins. At the same time, this educational project was born within the framework of the exhibition neste momento: (i.e. in this time:) , which took place at the RAC Foundation of Pontevedra (Spain).
I have been awarded one of the mobility grants of the MAC of A Coruña (Spain) for the Galician creative sector. The project submitted to the competition has the purpose of completing certain points of my doctoral thesis through several research trips to the Faculty of Fine Arts of Porto (Portugal).
Xuventude Crea (i.e. Prize for Galician young artists), in its eighth edition, awards its third plastic arts prize to Candy. It is a pictorial installation created with cut pieces of oil on canvas and pencil's drawings on wall. This art piece will be exhibited at the Church of the Company Exhibition Centre in Santiago de Compostela (Spain) during the next few days of November and early December.
