I am happy Picnic will be part of its collection!
The Provincial Council of Ourense annually holds its plastic arts competition for young people between 18 and 30 years old from anywhere in the Spanish territory. Themes, techniques or styles are free. And the fact of encouraging creative spirit and fostering the professionalisation of young talents in the field of arts may be found among the main objectives of this institution.
Picnic is a pictorial installation born from a memory, from the dancing of a group of ants carrying a slice of cheese on a summer afternoon. This piece lends its name to the individual project presented at the Trinta Gallery on the 12th of June, 2014.
It’s flattering to know that Picnic will be surrounded by good friends. Pieces from artists such as Jesús Madriñán, Tamara Feijoo, Marcos Covelo, Rubén Ramos Balsa y Álvaro Negro among many others may be found in the art collection of the Provincial Council of Ourense.
