My project Once upon a time… has been one of those selected, in the category of ‘artistic intervention projects’, in the last call for the Zona ‘C’ of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Specifically, the installation presented will be released sometime in December of 2016 or January of 2017.

Zona ‘C’ is a few metres away from the CGAC (Galician Centre of Contemporary Art) and from the Museum of the Galician People. This room is a multidisciplinary space (plastic, performing, musical and didactic interventions), created in 2007 by the Department of Culture of the City Hall of Santiago de Compostela, in order to promote the creation of art and to support emerging Galician, national and international artists. It is a landmark in the capital of our region which is supported by Auditorio de Galicia (i.e. Auditorium of Galicia).

The selection committee of this call was composed of Manuel Eirís (artist), Joana Hurtado Matheu (art critic and head of Can Felipa Arts Visuals), Chus Martínez Domínguez (art critic and curator), Clara Rodríguez Cordeiro (curator) and Chus Busto Castiñeiras (responsible for exhibitions at the Auditorio de Galicia).

Among the selected projects, I have to highlight as well those created by friends such as Neves Seara, Joan MoreraMaría Marco and Jacobo Bugarín. In previous calls, artists like Mauro Trastoy, Jesús Madriñán, Christian García Bello and Maria Castellanos Vicente exhibited in this space.
